Attracting Customers Into Your Shop This Holiday Season
Large retail store owners are able to reduce the prices of their products drastically and offer large sales to customers, especially during the holiday season. This leave smaller business owners at a lose because they need to keep their prices as in in order to keep their door open and their business successful. It is practically important, this time of year, that these smaller business find a way to promote their products and bring the the customers.
As a smaller business there are some things that you can do to help make your business first on the holiday shopping list and most of these ideas are relatively inexpensive and fun, but they will really reach out to your customers and let them know you care about their business.
To start with, try offering an early morning special. There are many things that you can do for the early morning customers that will make them feel appreciated and eager to spend money in your store. You can set out a table with coffee and bagels, offer a discount for shoppers during the first two hours of business and maybe even offer a promotional door prize for the first 20 customers. By doing this you are luring customers into your store, before they head out to shop anywhere else, therefore if they see a product on their list they will be tempted to purchase it in order to save themselves a stop during the day. This is a great way to increase your holiday sales and you will notice that people will be lined up outside your store before the doors even open.
Another great idea is to offer incentives to customers who spead a certain amount of money, or purchase a promotional shopping bag. You can even offer a promotional gift to customers who spend a certain amount of money in your store. Not only will these incentives have your customers spending more money in order to savve on their prioducts, but by purchasing a promotional bag they will be advertising your company whereever they carry the bag to.
Any promotion that you run at this point should encourage people to shop with you first or to buy more. A focus on these two areas of your business will help increase sales and help your holiday season be a big success.
When you are planning your upcoming company event, don’t forget the promotional giveaways, as this will let your employees know how much you appreciate the work they do. You don’t have to spend a fortune, give them something fun like custom printed stress toys, or promotional games and puzzles.
