Ovarian cyst or cysts might be something you have no idea about. Perhaps you have heard of it but have no idea how it would be if you had one and even if you will recognize it. Sometimes these cysts can be harmless and pass on their own, but in certain cases an ovarian cyst will rupture causing intense pain.
These cysts can develop in any woman and sometimes they just go away on their own. Usually if your hormones are regular and your menstrual cycle is regular you will not experience any problems. There can be times though, where an ovarian cyst ruptures and this is when you will need treatment.

It is said to occur when the egg is not released into the ovary when it is the menstruation time of the month, this causes the ovaries to fill up with fluid.
An ovarian cyst offer a ton of symptoms, so there is no way that you will not know that you have one. The main symptom and one that you will notice instantly, is sever or dull pain in the lower part of your abdomen.
If you are feeling this type of pain, there is no reason to panic, as said before, most cysts are harmless. But it is always a good idea to get it checked out by your doctor, he or she may want to do a biopsy on that ovarian cyst, just to make sure.
Breast tenderness and sudden weight gain are also signs that you may have an avarian cyst. The most important thing that you can do, if you suspect that you have a cyst on your ovary, is to go and see your doctor.
