XBOX or PS3 in future of battle between true gamers
The home entertainment has evolved considerably since the very idea after which it was named. On short since the 80 s when first appeared the wonder called VHS, on the same market the DVD revolution imposed itself with a new and bright technology at least until we all entered the HD (High- Definition) era. So it happens that the Media center concept is on and working, and consoles such as Next-Gen are truly defining the concept of home entertainment. We are presently very much into the current of HD movies, high definition digital sound, internet access, pictures, music and not in the least GAMES. Presently on the market there are 2 Next-Gen consoles, bringing the graphics at a superior level.
Microsoft XBOX 360 The Microsoft console was the first Next-Gen available on the market since 2005. It impact was strong and stayed on, XBOX 360 still leading the sales and being a legend. PlayStation3 Although XBOX 360 is the main contestant for PS3, the PS3 console launched in 2007 recovered the technical ground coming with a technical advantage, unfortunately greatly diminished by the hard programming configuration and by the fact that the games are cross-platform.
The HD platform comes with a Blue-Ray player which is a huge plus. It operates with an 8-core Cell processor, 7 active, 1 for back-up assuring maintenance in case of the malfunction of 1 out of the active 7. Too bad that in spite of its power and of the NVIDIA graphic board they decided not to introduce AA .Under the condition that the XBOX 360 obligates game publishing at minimum 2XAA the difference is considerable.
As noise is concerned at PS3 is a lot better and doesn’t heat up as fast as XBOX. It has an interface for an USB mouse so it can replace the PC for internet access. The conclusion is rather simple and the trend in action is the compacting of all means of home entertainment inside a single gadget, respectively the console. The battle between the PC and Console on the realm of gaming, movies, music and internet surfing is lost by the PC. The navigation is not perfect yet but they are on the right tracks and this issue will be perfected in no time.
